Well, paintings are never quite biographical so you'd be ill-advised to read too much into this painting (as with most paintings). For example, the pillow on the couch looks completely out of place! Many, many times I think, "I wish I still had the photos from that photo shoot". However, I decided long ago (about a year or so), that as part of a deal to get more people to commit to entertaining paintings, part of the agreement would involve there being zero to no chance of the photos getting out in public--so almost all are destroyed--plus, it saves me electronic storage space. I'm not sure if there will come a time when it will be more relevant for me to display a photo instead of the painting, but for now, the painting wins. An artist can only hope when such a time does come, his head is not too far up his proverbial ass to take this risk.
